"It is with great pleasure that I write my testimony about my experience as a student at Egas Moniz Higher Education School and I hope to be able to help those people who have graduated from Universities outside Portugal and seek a way to obtain the equivalence of their respective titles through a Portuguese University. During my academic and professional career, I graduated in Dentistry and then specialized in Orthodontics and Orthopedics of the Jaws. After moving to Portugal with my family, I always wanted to continue to practice my dear profession, but this would only be possible if I did the equivalence of my title as a dentist that I obtained in Brazil. I then chose to do my title equivalence at Egas Moniz. After the publication of the Admission Notice for these purposes, I faced a rigorous bureaucratic process where several documents are required to be able to carry out the credits of the unit courses studied in Brazil. In September 2018, I started the course as a student of the Integrated Master's Degree in Dental Medicine, with a daily routine of theoretical and practical classes in the University Clinic and periodic evaluations, in addition to the obligation to do a monograph at the end of the course. In this course I experienced the excellent academic preparation of teachers and the use of state-of-the-art technology by the students, such as the use of microscopy in the clinical care of patients who need endodontic treatment. An important aspect also to be highlighted about Egas Moniz is the interculturality of the University, the interaction with people from different countries is something daily here and helps a lot in the adaptation of new students, especially international ones."
