Student and Staff Mobility
Egas Moniz is greatly concerned with offering its students, teachers, researchers and non-academic staff an international profile in their quest for professional and personal enhancement.
This concern with developing an international profile has been naturally evolving over the years and with the emergence of international exchange programmes, to which Egas Moniz has always applied, with the utmost success.
There are currently several exchange programmes available to which students, teachers, researches and non-academic staff can apply.
Egas Moniz will continue to develop this international profile in the coming years, to the benefit of the institution and of course, to the benefit of all those who work and study here.
Funded Programmes
Egas Moniz is increasingly investing in internationalisation and in that sense it has sought to broaden the support schemes that encourage scientific and cultural exchange in order to develop new internationalisation opportunities for all its students, researchers and teaching and non-teaching staff alike.
The European Union grants contribute to covering travel and living expenses during the period abroad and the amount can vary depending on the following:
- If the mobility involves two countries in the programme, the number of requests from people in your country that are interested in studying/training abroad
- The distance between your country and the host country
- The existence of others means of funding in your country or region (if the study/training period involves two countries in the programme)
If the study/training period aboard involves two countries in the programme, your original institution shall bear all the payments due. If the study/training period abroad involves a country in the programme and a third country, the original institution and the host institution shall decide which one shall bear the payments.
The grant levels for mobility programmes that involve countries in the programme and third countries are published in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide. Please refer to your national agency and original higher education institutions’ websites for information on any applicable charges on study/training periods that involve two countries in the programme. For further information on grant levels, please refer to the programme guide.
