1. Quality of Teaching

Through large, modern and well equipped facilities and a highly specialized teaching staff which guides its conduct by strict ethical and deontological principles, with high technical and scientific standards and employing the latest teaching methodologies.

Our courses have a strong practical component and internships integrated in the curricula,  enabling the implementation of your theoretical knowledge and its application in a real context with true patients.

In addition to laboratories, Egas Moniz provides two clinics (University Clinic and Dental Clinic) and a nursing home where, depending on the courses, students receive part of their practical training. Egas Moniz also has partnerships with other entities and organizations (Companies, both national and international Universities, Institutes, Hospitals, Health Centres and Social Solidarity Institutions). These interactions provide clinical practices, internships and projects, from an early stage of the courses, and allowing a good integration and adaptation to the labour market.
 

3. External Recognition

Egas Moniz is a reference institution for the education of Health Sciences in Portugal.

The courses taught at Egas Moniz grant their Masters and Graduates the admission in  Professional Bodies and Associations of their specialities, and provide good prospects of employment. The results of surveys undertaken among our students and published by independent institutions reveal an  above average rate of employability.

Egas Moniz is the 1st Institution of Private Higher Education in the Health area having its Internal Quality Assurance System certified by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES). The Quality Management System is also certified since 2010 according to the ISO 9001 standard.

Egas Moniz offers the possibility of accommodation at the Egas Moniz University Residence (RUEM), located at the university campus, providing to their students and families:

  • A modern and attractive accommodation, fully equipped to their Residents needs and comfort, giving the possibility to their families to stay temporarily at the RUEM;
  • Accommodation during the academic year and course, at affordable prices
  • Safety of the Residents, with concierge service and 24 hours/day surveillance and equipped with an automatic detection system (SADI) and means of fire fighting
