Chemical and Biochemical Analysis
Introduction
The Higher Professional Technical Course in Chemical and Biochemical Analysis is a professional educational offer that is a short-term higher education course, which lasts four semesters and is a level 5 in the OECD ISCED. This course comprises general and scientific training, technical training, and training in a professional context, which takes place by means of an internship in the final semester.
The Study Plan has been structured to provide students with the knowledge and capacity to plan, optimise, and carry out physical, chemical, biochemical, and toxicological trials and analyses using the most suitable analytical methods and lab techniques taking into consideration their purpose. Students are also apt to register, assess, and interpret the obtained results and to work in a lab environment in compliance with the safety standards and guidelines established within the scope of accreditation and certification in order to continuously improve quality control.
Taking a Higher Professional Technical Course will grant a Higher Professional Technical Diploma whose holders will be able to enter the labour market or continue their studies in Higher Education.
Hence, students who obtain a Higher Professional Technical Diploma in Chemical and Biochemical Analysis at ESSEM may:
