Volunteer Work

Egas Moniz – Cooperativa de Ensino Superior supports volunteer works suggested by students, lecturers, employees, and alumni, which are spontaneously organised within the scope of programmes, projects, and/or other forms of profitless intervention serving the community.

This institution also aims at encouraging even more students to take part in the development of volunteer works in the interest of the community and social interest as well as actively contributing to the creation of a fair and balanced community.

The participation of our group of Catholic students in Missão País, Hospital da Bonecada, Hospital dos Pequeninos, or even volunteering in Africa and Timor are recurring examples.

More recently, a dentist doing volunteer training at the Egas Moniz University Practice took part in volunteer work at Mundo a Sorrir, in Sao Tome and Principe. Its main goals were dental awareness, screening, and treatment on children in the upper primary school.
