Document Archive

The computerised library catalogue, which is available at the Service Desk and the reading rooms, enables users to research the document archive and find the publications that exist in the Library:

  • Books
  • Periodicals (scientific reviews in hard copy or online)
  • Doctoral theses and master’s dissertations
  • Psychology and Speech Therapy Evaluation Tests.

The catalogue is also available on campus via any computer connected to the internet through the Egas Moniz network.

The Library encourages readers’ autonomy when using the services, making the document archive available mostly free of access and organised using the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), a system that allows the works to be grouped according to the themes.

Hard copy periodicals are located on shelves organised by theme area in the Library corridor. Users can find the most recent periodicals freely accessible or request older periodicals that are found in the archive from the Service Desk.

You can also find the psychological and speech therapy evaluation tests, doctoral theses, master’s dissertations and other grey literature produced in-house (reports and assignments) in the Archive.
